Motivation Weekend Toledo

Toledo, from November 7th to 9th.

Amazing weekend, definitely one of the best IAAS events for many years! After several weeks of intense organization, the Motivation weekend Madrid November 2015 finally took place! And despite the enormous challenge, everything went smoothly!

We started on Friday, and left from the agronomic university by bus, no less than 58 people! It took place near Toledo, in El Casar de la Inesa, from Carral foundation, a huge complex for events and celebrations, amid a field of centenary olive trees. During two days, planned activities and visits were executed.

The first day, as usual for IAAS events, some integration games were carried out to get to know each other followed by another ice-breaker, "Cantus" ,a Belgian tradition. On Saturday we visited the farm, where the manager showed us the machinery, and explained the most important aspects, including demonstrations, in addition to the barley and wheat crops. We also had time to celebrate the "IAAS Olympic Games": eight countries (teams), four extravagant games like basket while jumping rope or pin the cattle tail with balloons on a tennis field and four rounds of questions related to the agriculture and environment.

Later that evening, in order to get to know more about IAAS main tradition, we orginised a Trade Fair were spanish participants adopted a new nationality as Bangladesh, Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Mexico, Ghana and Japan, and each one delighted us with typical food from each country.

On Sunday, short visit to see the wheat seeder and then cooking workshop concerning the elaboration of traditional gnocchi with four sauces and typical italian bread.

We ended the weekend with the "Trainings", a series of games that help analyzing the strengths and weaknesses of a team, improve communication and teamwork.
